Mother of Carlinville, Herrin Women Lived in Area. Mrs. Lucinda Baggett, 86, a former Carbondale and Carterville resident, died Thursday evening at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville. Mrs. Baggett is to be transferred from the Gaerdner Funeral Home in Belleville to the Huffman Funeral Home in Carbondale today. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a. m. Saturday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Mrs. Baggett is the mother of Mrs. Louis Slover, of Carbondale and Mrs. Lloyd Taylor of Herrin. She lived with son, Carl, in Belleville. She also leaves another son, Clarence, of Belleville, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Baggett was a member of the Baptist Church in Carterville Additional Comments: Lucinda was the daughter of Francis Luther Rushing and Sarah Cochran. She was the widow of William Baggett and is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery in Williamson Co.
