Obit of Carmen Moake Dated in ink as Mar 7, 1958. Newspaper unknown. Carmen Moake Dies Suddenly in Johnston City. Mrs. Carmen Moake, 68, died suddenly at her home, 1109 Washington Avenue in Johnston City, at 4 pm Friday. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. Moake, born in Benton, had resided in Johnston City more than 40 years. She was a former teacher in the Johnston City grade schools and a member of the First Christian Church there. Bert Moake, her husband, died Sept 22, 1957. Her father was the former R.A. Youngblood of Benton. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Krouse, Murphysboro and Mrs. Ben LeMaster, Dayton, Ohio. Funeral rites will be observed at 2 pm Tuesday, at the Murman-Wilson funeral home in Johnston City, with Elder William Reece, Pastor of the Frist Christian Church, in charge. Interment will be at the Masonic and Odd Fellows cemetery south of Benton. The body will lie in state after 4 pm Sunday at the Murman-Wilson funeral home.
