Andrew Earl Doughty, 72, of Rt. 1, Pittsburg died Saturday in Marion Memorial 
Hospital after a short illness.
He was born 30 November 1901, in Williamson County to Andrew J. and Mary 
Butler Doughty.
He married Evelyn Duty at Mt. Vernon.
Mr. Doughty was a retired coal miner, farmer, and employee of RCA Whirlpool 
Corporation.
He was a member of the Angelville Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Bob of Charleston, Jimmie of Marion, and Don of 
Pittsburg; a daughter, Elaine Knepper of Evansville, Ind; eight grandchildren 
and four great grandchildren; and a brother Roy of Galatia. A daugher, a 
brother and sister preceeded him in death.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Mitchell Funeral Home in 
Marion. The Rev. Wayne Warren will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. 
Pleasant Cemetery, Poordo. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. 
today.
