Obit of Mrs. Emma Manning Undated. Newspaper unknown but probably Johnston City or Marion Mrs. Emma Manning passed away at the home of her son, Thomas Manning, 2001 West Main Street, at 12:15 am Feb 9th. She was born in Williamson County to William T. and Mary E. Boyd Newton, February 1st, 1870. She was married to Miller E. Manning, deceased in Union county and to this union were born Mrs. John G. (Gladys) McAnnelly of Lansing, Michigan and Thomas Manning of Marion. She also leaves one brother James Newton of Johnston City. Mrs. Manning was a member of the First Baptist Church where funeral services will be conducted on Feb 11th, at 2 pm by the Rev. Troy V. Wheeler. The body will lie in state at the home until the funeral. Friends are invited to call.
