Obit of Frank C. Clayton Dated in by hand in ink as Mar 16, 1932? (Date is faded). Newspaper unknown. Veteran Employee of C & E.I. Road in Sudden Death. Frank C. Clayton, veteran section foreman for the C&E.I. railroad company, died at his home, 906 East Center street, Benton, Sunday after a short illness. While fighting a fire with his men on the right of way of the railroad shortly before noon Saturday, he complained of being tired out. He was immediately placed on a handcar and brought to town where medical aid was summoned. His death was ascribed to heart trouble. He had been an employee of the railway company for more than twenty-seven years, and was one of the best-known men in this community. He is survived by six children, Harley, of Chicago; Loren, of Tampa Florida; Grace of Harrisburg, Tenn.; Leola of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Orval and Robert of Benton; and two sisters, Mrs. E.H. Ligon and Mrs. Sam McCollum of Benton. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at the Primitive Baptist church with Elder C.M. Weaver in charge.
