Obit of Mrs.John Hope Dated in ink as July 3, 1955. Newspaper is unknown but probably Johnston City or Marion. Mrs. John Hope, 58, Passed Away Sunday Mrs. Jennie Hope, 58, died Sunday at 10:35 pm at her home, 1312 Barham Avenue following a lingering illness. She had been in failing health for eight years. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Murman and Wilson funeral home by Rev. William Warner, pastor of the Methodist church. Interment followed at Lakeview Cemetery. Mrs. Hope was born in England July 24, 1896 and had lived in this city for the past 423 years. She was a member of the Methodist church. Besides her husband John Hope, she is survived by four sons, John Jr. of Springfield, Ralph of Chicago, Robert of Springfield and Harry of Melrose Park; three daughters, Mrs. Armitt Harrison and Mrs. Harry Hayes of Melrose Park and Mrs. Jack Orlea of this city; her father, Robert Wilson of Melrose Park; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Gallager of Chicago and Mrs. Daisy Newton of Maywood; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
