Obit of J.R. "Billy" Sowell Dated in ink as Mar 20, 1953. Newspaper unknown but probably Johnston City or Marion. Mrs. and Mrs. Bert Peterson were Friday morning informed of the sudden death of their brother-in-law, Billy Sowell, in Miami Fla. Mrs. and Mrs. Sowell resided here until he retired about ten years ago, when they moved to Miami to make their home. Billy, about 73 years old, worked in the mines when a young man and later bought and sold mine timbers. He is survived by his wife, Susie Peterson Sowell; two brothers, Ben Sowell of Christopher and Luther Sowell of Missouri; a daughter Mrs. Dorothy Stenstrom of West Palm Beach, Fla. Burial will be in West Palm Beach Fla.
