Obit of Mary Austin Dated in by hand in ink as May 18, 1958. Newspaper is the Daily America, West Frankfort ILL. Mary Austin Dies Rites for Desoto Woman are Tuesday Mrs. Mary Ellen Austin, 75, of Desoto, died at 8:45 am Sunday at Holden Hospital, Carbondale. She was born in Jackson County Dec 21, 1882, and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Desoto. She leaves sons, Robert of Dupo, Wilbur of Desoto, Harold of Chicago; daughters, Mrs. James C. Gillooly of Mounds, and Mrs. Jack Clark of Murphysboro; sister, Mrs. Clestia Kimzie of Galesburg; brother S.L. Porter of Sand Ridge, and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Van Natta Funeral home in Carbondale. The Rev. O.H. Swackard will officiate. Burial will be in Worthen Cemetery, southwest of Murphysboro. Friends may call after 2 pm today at the funeral home.
