Obit of Maude Goddard Girth Date written in ink is Dec 3, 1947. Newspaper unknown. Funeral Sunday for White Ash Woman who Died Friday Mrs. Maude Girth, 70, wife of Frank Girth of White Ash, died yesterday afternoon at the Herrin hospital after three weeks of critical illness. She had been a patient at the hospital a week. Mrs. Girth was a life long resident of Lake Creek Township in Williamson County. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in White Ash. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. E.S. Nann, Home Wood; Mrs. C.J. Privitte, Hazel Crest; Mrs. Rollie Shields, Blueford; Mrs. R.R. England, Chicago; three sons, H.D. Mace, Lemay Mo.; Howard Mace, Maplewood; a sister Mrs. Joseph Deaton of Anna, a brother William Goddard of Marion. Seventeen grandchildren and three great- grandchildren also survive. The body is lying in state at the family home in White Ash. Funeral rites will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from Free Will Baptist church in White Ash with Rev. Willie Huffman of Johnston City, officiating. Burial will be in White Ash cemetery.
