Obit of Martha Jones Dated in ink as Mar 18 1951. Newspaper unknown. Martha Jones, Johnston City, Dies in Herrin Mrs. Martha Jones, who spent all of her 83 years in her native Williamson County, died at the Schoenig nursing home in Herrin about 3 am yesterday. An invalid 20 years, Mrs. Jones made her home with her two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Spiller and Mrs. Elbert Oates, both in Johnston City. The elderly woman was a member of the Primitive Baptist church in Johnston City. Two grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive in addition to the two daughters. Funeral services will be held at the Murman-Wilson funeral home at Johnston City at 2 pm Tuesday. The Rev. Jack DeVore, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Johnston City, will assist in the services by Elder Charley Weaver of the Primitive Baptist church. Burial will be in the Lake Creek cemetery. The body is lying in state at the Murman-Wilson funeral home.
