Obit of Maude McNeil Sims Dated in ink at top of clipping as "Mothers Day, May 13, 1956." Newspaper unknown. Johnston City Woman, 79, Dies; Rites Tuesday Mrs. Maude McNeil Sims, 79, who lived with her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Cooksey in Johnston City, died at 6 pm Sunday in the Herrin Hospital, where she had been a patient one week. Mrs. Sims, 79, was a lifelong resident of Williamson County. She was a member of the First Methodist church and Royal Neighbor lodge at Johnston City. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a son, Harry McNeil, near Herrin; two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Felts, Marion, and Mrs. Alex Robinson, Legrande, Ore.; three brothers, Ben Perrine, Johnston City; Oscar Perrine, Goreville, and Carl Perrine, LaGrange; 16 grandchildren and 29 great- grandchildren. The body is lying in state at the Murman-Wilson funeral home in Johnston City. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the First Methodist church in Johnston City. Rev. Robert Warner, Pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Homer young, Nashville. Burial will be in Lakeview cemetery east of Johnston City.
