Crissop was taken sick in the Mexican War and never regained his health. He was confined with abcess on the hip joint for nearly a year previous to his death. ** = Susan Allen was confied mostly to her room for two years previous to her death. *** = Fannie V. Bearden cut off two of her toes with an ax, and 14 days after locked-jaw of which she died on the 8th day. # = Martha A. Mitchell, wife of Dr. S.M. Mitchell in affluent circumstances, was confined in February 1859 and soon after, attacked with typhoid fever, as she recovered symptoms of insanity appeared mostly on the subject of religion; when able to walk about the room, suring the momentary absence of her watch, she seized a raxor and cut her throat and expired immediately. A brother and two sisters have been insane. I hereby certify that the foregoing report of the persons who died within the last year ending June 1, 1860 in the county of Williamson and the State of Illinois is according to my oath and instructions to the best of my knowledge and belief.
