Rumelhart died Friday at the home of his son, Dr. G. L. Rumelhart. Though ailing for some time, the veteran was seriously ill for only a day. He served in Company L. Eighth Illinois cavalry and after the war became a farmer near Albion. He is survived by a son, two daughters and a sister. The Columbus Telegram Tue Jul 29, 1941 Civil War Veteran Dies; Was Plum Center Pioneer Belgrade, July 28--[Special to The Telegram]-- Funeral services were held at Albion, Sunday for George Rumelhart, civil war veteran, and pioneer resident of Plum Center neighborhood. Mr. Rumelhart, who was 93, died at the home of his son, Dr. Guy Rumelhart in Omaha. Mrs. Rumelhart passed away in 193. Three children survive.
