E. Eastman" Funeral services for Mrs. Adelaide Eastman, 54, wife of V. E. Eastman and a native of Sterling, who died yesterday [Aug. 10] at her home following an extended illness, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the home, 2129 Cumberland Street. The Rev. H. M. Bannen, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. Mrs. Eastman was born on Apr. 6, 1881 (sic – Apr. 9) at Sterling. Besides her husband she leaves three children, Marian (sic - Marion) and Gene Eastman, and Mrs. Charles [Gertrude] Little, all of Rockford. Mrs. Eastman also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Don [Verna Phelps] Black, and two brothers, John and Alonzo Phelps, all of Sterling, and four grandchildren.
