89th Indiana Vol, Co K   This is printed on a large sheet, very colorful, with "89th Indiana Volunteers,Company K" centered and then "Adams County Sharpshooters".  At the bottom,is written "Mustered into United States Service, August 28th, 1862, by Captain N.W. Osborn, U.S.A., at Indianapolis, Indiana." In the lower left corner, "Memorandum"  "Engaged in battle of Mumfordsville, Kentucky, on 14th & 16th September, 1862.  Surrendered and taken prisoner on 17th and paroled same day.  General Bragg commanding Rebel Forces." At the very bottom, in small print, identifying the information, " Entered in accordance to Act of Congress in the year 1862, by J. Wesley Waterman & Co. in the Clerks Office of the District Court of the Southern District of Ohio." Regimental Field Officers: Col. Charles D. Murray, Lt. Col. Harvey Craven, Maj. George Cubberly, Adj.Byron H. Dent.  Company Officers: Commisioned Officers: Capt. Edwin S. Metzger, 1st Lt. Henry McLain, 2nd Lt. James Stoops. Noncommissioned Officers: Sgts: 1, Henry H. Hart; 2, George W. Teeple; 3, andrew J. Teeple; 4, Sylvester Gorsline; 5, Samuel Garver; Corporals: 1, Elias G. Coverdate; 2. Joseph C. Bolton; 3,Thomas F. Antin; 4, Wm. B. Campbell; 5, Covey G. Lipton & 7 & 8 Surnames are not disguishable, but I can make out Horace ??? and Willis???  The paper is folded right there and over the years, those names have fallen away from the rest.  Musicians:  James Fravel, Fifer; J.
