OBITUARY                                       (AGE 78)
Mrs. Susan Hocker, nee Weffler, was born February 21, 1821 in
Switzerland and died Sunday morning, at 1:15, May 11, 1907, at the age of
76 years, two months and 19 days.  At the the age of 11 the deceased
emigrated with her parents from Switzerland to Stark County, Ohio, where
she was married in 1842 to Stephen Hocker.  Later Mr. and Mrs. Hocker moved
to this state.  Nine children, 8 sons and one daughter, were the offsprings
of this union.  Her husband died in 1873 since when Mrs. Hocker remained a
widow.  She leaves to cherish the hope of meeting in eternity 8 sons and one
daughter, three sons having preceded her; besides this 20 grandchildren and
16 great-grandchildren survive her.  Funeral services will take place
tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at the house and at 10:00 at the Evangelical church
here.  Rev. D.M. Zechtel will preach in English and Rev. E.H. Vornholt in
German.
