John was born in the Albany area on May 1, 1852.  He never married and records
from Peltier Funeral Home show that he drowned in Allen County, Indiana on
March 23, 1876 at the age of 23.  The casket was purchased by James English,
husband of his mother's sister, Isobel McConahey English.
