INSANE WOMAN'S DEED

POISONED HER FAMILY AND THEN KILLED HERSELF

Indianapolis, Ind. - August 10 - This evening Mrs. Clara Baldwin, of 
Irvington, wife of Enos Baldwin, special agent of an insurance company, with 
strychnine introduced into the food eaten at dinner, poisoned her husband, her 
son James, and her daughter Mary.  Mrs. Baldwin then went to an upper room, 
shot herself with a revolver, dying instantly.

At a late hour physicians were working to save father, son and daughter, who 
had not recovered consciousness.  It is thought Mrs. Baldwin was insane.
