G. R. LEIST PASSES AWAY Mother of Mrs. William Enslen Dies of Apoplexy Aged Woman Had Been Ill Less Than a Week - Was Widely Known Throughout the City Mrs. George R. Leist, aged 82 years, mother of the wife of Dr. William Enslen, 2216 Fairfield avenue, died this morning at the home of the daughter. Death was due to apoplexy and followed an illness of less than a week. Prior to suffering the fatal attack several days ago, Mrs. Leist had enjoyed good health in spite of her advanced age. Mrs. Leist was born in Ohio, Oct. 22, 1835. She had resided with her daughter in this city since the death of her husband twelve years ago. She was a member of the Methodist church and was widely known throughout the city. Surviving relatives include besides the daughter at whose home she died, another daughter, Mrs. John Letsinberger, of Long Beach, Calif; one son, Charles H. Leist, of San Francisco, Calif; three grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Funeral arrangements will not be made until the arrival of the son from the west, and until a grandson, Musician Myron Enslen, of Company C, One Hundred and Thirteenth Field Signal battalion, arrives from Camp Shelby, Miss.
