Fort Wayne Sentinel, 6 May 1916
David [sic] Tombaugh, aged sixty-three years, died at 1:20 o'clock Saturday 
morning at the family home in Wildwood Park, west of the city, following a very 
brief illness due to heart trouble. He was recovering from an attack of 
lagrippe when he suffered the fatal attack.
Mr. Tombaugh had lived here nearly his entire life. He is survived by the widow 
and three children: Mrs. Ida Young of this city, William of Lima, and Mrs. Guy 
Smith of Wallen.
