Willson Dies Suddenly; Rites Thursday Funeral services for Clinton R. Willson 85 of 407 W. DeWald St. insurance executive and former president of the Anthony Wayne Bank will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chalfant-Perry Funeral Home, Rev. Robert R. Bieber officiating. Mr. Willson was dead on arrival at 10:30 a.m. yesterday at St Joseph's Hospital, following an auto accident. Death apparently followed a heart seizure. No serious injuries were received when Mr. Willson's car struck a fire hydrant at Fairfield Avenue and Hendricks Street. Mr. Willson purchased his insurance agency in 1914 from Nahreiter and Gumper agency, and owned it until his retirement. He retired as director of the Anthony Wayne Bank in 1957 ending a 41 -year association with the bank and its predecessor, the Fort Wayne Norris Plan. He was one of the original organizers of the Morris Plan here in 1915. After beginning his career in banking as a cashier with the First National Bank here, he later worked at the Citizens Trust. Mr. Willson was the first treasurer of the Anthony Wayne Bank, as well as its president and later director. Following his retirements in 1957, he continued to operate his insurance agency for several years before turning it over to his son-in-law, George Hacker. Mr. Willson was past president of the Anti- Tuberculosis Board, first treasurer of the Council of Social Agencies, a charter member of the Rotary Club, a 32 nd Degree Mason, a member of the Mission Board, Sol D. Bayless Lodge 339, and F. & A. M. Scottish rite, Mizpah Shrine and a member of the Third Presbyterian Church. Surviving him are his wife, Lillian; a daughter, Mrs. George Hacker, Fort Wayne, a son Robert Willson, Santa Monica, Calif; two brothers, Gus Willson, Fort Wayne, and Ralph Willson, Cleveland; four grandchildren and two great -grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.
