Houser, resident ordinance inspector at Noblitt-Sparks "bomb" factory here since last January, has been transferred to the Cincinnate Ordnace distric office in the Equirer building at Cincinnati. He will teach new inspectors the routine of office work and other phases of an inspectors job. He is staled to take up his new work Monday. Mr. Houser successor here will be Charles P. Ridge, who has been as assistant inspector here since last June. The departing inspector became well known here while assigned to Noblitt-Sparks and was one of the first to conceive of the metals collection campain, which he promoted in Columbus. He has a varied background, his experience including an apprenticeship as toolmaker, a machine shop and foundry owner, a steamboat chief engineer and he still holds a lciense and even a farmer. He was active in government until the war and he became an Army Inspector at Indianapolis. After the armistice he was chief investigator for the Cincinnati district claims board. Mr. Houser retired in 1930 and then last year was invited to rejoin the service because of the national defense emergency. He came to Columbus after taking a special 7-week training course at Rock Island Arsenal.
