The Franklin Democrat, Friday, March 3, 1899, Volume XXXIX, Number 34, page 1, column 4
The four-year-old daughter of George Stillabower and wife, living southwest of
Edinburg was burned to death 
Monday evening by her clothing catching fire while her mother was absent from the
room. The screams of the 
child brought the mother to its side but too late to save it. Although the flames
were smothered the injuries 
proved fatal, the child dying Tuesday afternoon after great suffering.

records that Mary Stillabower, a five-year-old white female, died 28 Feb 1899 in
Bartholomew County.
