The Montpelier Herald-Montpelier, Indiana--September 1, 1895 REUNIONS PAST-------THE SECOND ANNUAL REUNION OF THE KITTERMAN FAMILY The second annual reunion was held five miles northwest of Centerville, Ind. in Calvin Kitterman's grove. This was a grand success in every sense. John Black, Andy Tramp and Col. Kitterman, committee on arrangements, had left no stone unturned for the comfort of the visitors. A large crowd of relatives was present from Virginia, Ohio and eight counties in Indiana. A beautiful shower of rain had fallen the day before, which laid the dust and cooled the air. The morning was a little gloomy, but the sun soon came forth to welcome the visitors. A more conspicuous figure was not to be found that President Gabriel Kitterman, with his accustomed smile and kind word for all. After a great many old acquaintances had been renewed, and new ones had been formed, the President called the meeting to order. He made a few very appropriate remarks, and then led the meeting in prayer. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The following son was sung, "O Land of Rest for Thee I Sigh." The President then dismissed the meeting until after dinner. The dinner was grand beyond description; a table, seventy feet long, had been arranged and spread with all the good things one could think of. Robert Black invoked the divine blessing. Some two or three hundred people fared sumptuously and left enough to have fed as many more. We were then arranged in a group and photographed by a man from Cambridge City. The President then called the meeting to order, and the following program was rendered. Music----Misses Daisie Petty, Rosie Tiffer and Laura Tremps, organist. Declamation-----"Welcome" by Cora Tremps Declamation-----"Servant Girl" by Ethel Kitterman Music----"The Crowning Day is Coming," by Miss Laura Tremp and others Declamation-----"Magic Castle." by Carrie Kitterman Declamation-----"Odd, Isn't It." by Wayne Petty Declamation-----"My Dollie Is Dead." by Nellie Tremps Music---------Miss Rosie Tiffer The following committee was appointed by the President to draft By-Laws and Constitution, said committee to report at the next annual meeting: J.
