Moore, Sanford, dec'd-Applications for letters of guardianship, dated June 
6,1863. Mary Moore is guardian of the minor heirs of the decedent:
William Henry Moore, age 17
Julia Ann Moore, named as Julia Ann Lucas in guardian's bond, age 15
Emily Moore, age 8
Sarah Elizabeth Moore, age 5
Martha Catherine, age 1

All live in Brown Co and are joint owners of land in Brown Co., valued at 
$500.00. Report dated August 13,1865: final as to Julia Ann who has married 
Loery Lucas. She received $16.00 Report dated March 19, 1867: William Henry 
Moore is of legal age. He received $16.00. Emily is age 12, Sarah E. is 10, 
and Martha is 4. Guardian has cared for the children since Sanford died in 
July of 1862. Guardian Mary Moore now signs as Mary Rogers. Petition dated 
March 1868, by Thomas L. Lucas, to be released as surety for Mary Moore, now 
Mrs. Willis Rogers. Thomas is released and Jesse Hall becomes surety. Report 
dated Oct. 31, 1876, by Jesse Hall, who became guardian of the minor heirs of 
Sanford Moore on March 1, 1871. Pension funds now amount to $1,202.11. Martha 
C. Moore lives in Brown Co. and is the remaining ward. Final report dated Jan. 
13, 1879: Martha C. Moore has married Joseph A. Lucas. She received $117.55. 
Guardian resigns. Box 35, file 4

Report dated March 28,1874, by Jesse Hall, guardian of the minor heirs of 
Sanford Moore:Emily Moore and Martha C. Moore. Voucher dated March 26, 1874, 
signed by Emily Fox and George W. Fox, for $266.99, as her share of the 
estate. Report of June 13, 1878:pension money is part of the estate of the 
wards.
