OBITUARY.

This obituary is consecrated to the memory of Hannah Van Wormer, who was born at
Rising Sun, Ind., Aug. 
15, 1834, and died on the morning of April 10, 1900, aged 65 years, 7 months and 27
days.

On Nov. 28, 1850 she was married to J. H. Stewart, to whom she was ever a loving and
faithful helpmate.  The 
latter years of her life were marred by continual illness, which she patiently
endured.

For 42 years she was a faithful member of the Methodist church.  She was a devoted
mother of ten children, 
five of whom, one daughter and four sons, still survive to mourn their loss.  The
afflicted husband joins with 
them in bereaving the loss of one who was ever a faithful wife and loving mother.

To them we extend our heartfelt sympathy in their time of affliction, but
nevertheless we realize the fact that 
she is not dead, but sleeping, and that she will ever live in the tender memories of
her lonely husband and 
motherless children.  She has gone to obey the summons extended to her through the
text chosen by her a 
short time before her death, “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.”

When the angel of death cut the last slender tie;
She departed to dwell in the mansions on high.
She has gone to the loved ones awaiting her there,
Free at last from earth’s suffering, sorrow and care.
