ENOCH COX, SR.

   Enoch Cox, Sr., was born in New Jersey, August 28, 1781, and, with his
father's family, moved to Mason county, Kentucky, in 1789. In 1825 he moved to
Montgomery county, Ohio, and on the 17th of April, 1829, came to Carroll county,
Indiana, with his family, and lived in Delphi until 1830, when he moved to a
farm two miles southwest of Delphi, where he lived until his death, in 1865.
