ABRAHAM CROWELL.

   Abraham Crowell was born in Montgomery county, Ohio, May 22, 1814, and came
to Carroll county when a young man. He was married to Catharine Million in 1835,
and to this union eight children were born. After the death of his first wife,
he married Anna Newman in 1850. Mr. Crowell amassed considerable property and
was one of the wealthiest men in Adams township when he died. He died on January
14, 1898.
