Odell (1916) HENDERSON DUNKLE. Henderson Dunkle was born in Franklin county, Pennsylvania, April 5, 1826, and came to Carroll county, Indiana, October 11, 1837. He was married to Mary Dewey, June 4, 1846, and to this union were born two children—one daughter and one son. Mr. Dunkle was the publisher of the Carroll Express for six years. He was in the employ of his brother, William Dunkle, and James Kilgore, who were manufacturers of agricultural implements in Delphi for many years. He was county treasurer from 1872 to 1876, and was county auditor from 1879 to 1890. He was one of the oldest members of Delphi Lodge No. 28, Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He died on January 20, 1902, leaving surviving one daughter and one son.
