REV.  NELSON GILLAM.

   Rev. Nelson Gillam was born in Franklin county, Indiana, in the year 1814,
and came to Carroll county in the year 1829. He was a son of Thomas Gillam. He
was married to Sarah Angel, March 20, 1840, who died in Marion, Indiana,
February 16, 1863. Mr. Gillam was married a second time in 1865. He was for many
years a minister of the Methodist Episcopal church. He died in Richmond,
Indiana, January 5, 1902, leaving a widow and two children by his former
marriage, Mrs. Martha Phillips, of New Castle, and Mrs. Ruth Winters, of
Logansport.
