REV. JOHN W. GILLAM.

   John W. Gillam was born in Franklin county, Indiana, August 12, 1810, and
came with his fathers family to Carroll county in April, 1829. He was married to
Amanda Gipson, November 12, 1835. To this union were born two daughters and one
son. He was for fifty-nine years a minister of the Methodist Episcopal church.
He lived on a farm six miles southeast of Delphi. He died on February 24, 1884.
