Odell (1916) JOHN M. GRANT. John M. Grant was born in Butler county, Ohio, June 30, 1824, and came to Carroll county, Indiana, October 14, 1851, and resided in Burlington township. He was married to Catharine Spangler, October 21, 1847. Mr. Grant was an active and progressive citizen. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, a Mason and an Odd Fellow. He was one of the early pioneers of Burlington township, and was respected by the entire community. He died on February 16, 1910.
