Odell (1916) JAMES GRIFFITH James Griffith was born in Carroll county May 26, 1834. He was a son of Isaac Griffith, Sr., who came to this county in 1826. He was raised on a farm. He was associated with William Gassaway, in Delphi, in the grocery trade. He was married to Elizabeth Lyons, and to this union were born two daughters, Laura and Jessie. He was a veteran of the Civil War. He was a member of the Delphi Lodge No. 28, Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He died on June 29, 1900, survived by his wife and two daughters.
