Odell (1916) DAVID T. HILDERBRAND. David T. Hilderbrand was born in Montgomery county, Ohio, August 3, 1831, and came to Carroll county, Indiana, at the age of fifteen years. He was married to Matilda Byers, August 19, 1852, and to this union ten children were born. He was a successful farmer. He met his death, together with a young son, when crossing the track of the Wabash railroad, just east of Delphi. They were struck by a freight train, and both were killed, December 22, 1877.
