Odell (1916) JAMES G. MALCOM James G. Malcom was born in Vigo county, Indiana, February 4, 1821, and came to Carroll county, Indiana, in 1831. He was married to Jane McCall, June 22, 1843, who died in 1904. He was one of the old settlers who witnessed the march of the Indians in 1832 on their way to their western homes. He was a member of the Old Settlers Society, and was familiar with the early events of his township. He died on May 9, 1900, and was survived by two sons. Rev. A. G. Malcom, of Pennsylvania, and A. R. Malcom, of Sleeth.
