AMANDA MARTIN.

   Amanda Martin was born in Scott county, Kentucky, December 28, 1814. Her
maiden name was Amanda Burt, and with her father's family she came to Carroll
county, Indiana, in 1833. She was married to Abraham F. Martin, May 15, 1838.
She was one of the first members of the Delphi Baptist church. Her husband died
on November 15, 1898. Mrs. Martin died on October 25, 1899, survived by one son.
