Odell (1916) SAMUEL WEAVER. Samuel Weaver was born in Butler county, Ohio, November 6, 1806, and came to Carroll county, Indiana, in September, 1835, and located in Democrat township. He was married to Ruth McNeil, November 12, 1829. He engaged in farming and carried on the manufacture of woolen goods at the town of Prince William. There were ten children born to this union. Two sons survived him at the time of his death, which occurred on February 24, 1903. His wife died in January, 1881. His father, Henry Weaver, was a soldier of the War of Independence. He was a cousin of General Weaver, of Iowa. His son, W. H. Weaver, represented this county in the Legislature two terms.
