JOHN D. WILSON.

   John D. Wilson was born in Harding county, Virginia, October 24, 1828, and
with his father, Isaac Wilson, came to Carroll county, Indiana, in 1832,
locating on a farm two miles east of Delphi. In 1849, with others from this
county, he went to the gold fields of California, and after an absence of five
years returned home and engaged in farming and stock feeding. He was married to
Mrs. Nellie Huggins, November 13, 1865. He was a stockholder in the bank of A.
T. Bowen & Company. He was a prominent Mason and died in Delphi, at his
residence, November 16, 1909, survived by his wife and nephews and nieces. He
was the last member of his father's family.
