JOHN REPLOGLE, PIONEER LADY, DIES FROM CANCER Mrs. John REPLOGLE died at her home on Columbia street Sunday evening at 7 o'clock after a long illness of cancer. She was one of the old settlers of Flora, having been a resident here since 1876 except a few years' residence upon their farm north of town. She had always been very strong and pain or sickness of any kind ws almost unknown to her until attacked by internal cancer two years ago, since which time she had suffered almost constant pain, and death and the grave were real friends of the afflicted woman. The funeral was held Tuesday at 2 o'clock, at the Old Order church of which she had been a member for many years, by Rev. Joseph Fisher of Howard county. Interment was made in the MOSS cemetery. Elizabeth, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Andrew HARTER, was born on the old HARTER farm near Walnut Grove, May 17, 1841. She was united in marriage to John REPLOGLE of Flora on April 13, 1876. To this union four children were born, one of which died in infancy. The children are one son, Frank of Jackson township; Mrs. Edward WAGONER of Burrows, and Mrs. John BROVONT of east of Bringhurst. Besides the husband and children, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Wm. TRITLE of Orleans, Ind., and three brothers, William HARTER of Independence, Kansas; Frank HARTER of Seattle, Washington and Lewis HARTER of Flora.
