Elwood Call Leader, January 25, 1906
George Riffe, aged sixty-five years, a wealthy farmer of Tipton township, Cass 
county, dropped dead of heart disease on the Pennsylvania railroad tracks, 
near Bunker Hill Tuesday evening.  He had spent the day in Bunker Hill and had 
started to walk to Onward, in company with hisnephew, J. A. Galbreath.  When 
near that city he complained of feeling dizzy and pitched face-forward on the 
track.  He was dragged away by his nephew just in time to escape an 
approaching express train.
