Having married, about the year 1885, he accompanied his father-in-law, Henry W McNamar, and family to the extreme Northwest, locating in Washington. Soon there-after the parents and family joined thme in their adopted state. Recently the subject of this sketch, whose home is at Spokane, was elected a member of the state senate. The parents are dead. job Congleton, who was trustee of Perry Township from 1876 to 1878, is remembered by many surviving Clay countians.
