The dates of deaths and the ages of two thousand Clay countians, as gleaned from personal knowledge, monuments and other sources, but mainly from announcements in the current local press, from day to day and from week to week. Ages are given only in full years nearest the actual date of death. Doubtless, there are errors, both as to figures and facts, as publications made in the newspapers are at times erroneous, but never intentionally so. While in some cases the age is not given, from lack of information, in other cases date of death is want, ing, for the same reason. A name marked * means a suicide.
