DIED- Mrs. Margaret C. Marlow was born in Clay County, Indiana, November 6, 1835, and is the daughter of Miles Lowderbaugh, now deceased. In 1859 she married Thomas Richey, who died in 1866, leaving her with one son, George T. Richey, now of Chicago. In 1868, she was married to Eli T. Marlow, who died March 15, 1892. This union resulted in the birth of three children, Alice, Albert and Freddie. For quite a number of years Mrs. Marlow was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Union Center, Iowa. Her life was not one to crowd itself to the attention of others, but was one of those quiet lives. Many times her work would have been greater if her strength had permitted. With a great interest in her home and her children she toiled on and is now to receive her reward. She is not to be forgotten for through coming years these orphaned children will remember the faithful mother’s care and loved ones will look back to many acts and words of sisterly kindness. October 4, 1893, in this presence of a vast number of old friends, all that is mortal of Mrs. Marlow was laid to rest in the cemetery near the Union Center Church.
