FRANKFORT.
The county seat of Clinton county, situated near the center of the county, ten
miles from Colfax on the Indianapolis, Cincinnati & Lafayette R R, connected by
a daily hack. It has two weekly newspapers, several fine churches, good schools,
&c. The various branches of trade and profession are well represented and the
place shows a lively and enterprising spirit. It contains a population of about
1200.
