McCafferty and until a few months ago a resident of Cumback died Thursday night at 11:55 o'clock at the home of her sister in law Mrs Florence Boringat 508 Center St. Death of Mrs McCafferty was attributed to carcinoma of the forehead and came after a lingering illnes of five years. She had in serioius condition for the past four weeks. Born in Daviess County on Sept 21, 1855 the deceased was a daughter of John and Maria (Horrall) Boring and had spent her entire life in the Cumback community where she was wee and favorably known. Mrs. McCafferty was the last of her family having been preceded in death by her husband five children and all her brothers and sisters. Mrs Boring was her only close relative. Funeral services were held this morning at 1 o;clock at Mt Gilead Methodist church, at Cumback, with Rev. R. S. Komp of Montgomery officiating and burial following in the adjoining.
