This is the Huffman family Bible that has been passed down from Conrad and 
Elizabeth (Huffman) Carbaugh.  At this time, the Bible contains the only 
record I can find of their marriage which was July 17, 1817.  They were both 
residents of Dearborn County, Indiana at the time so that is where it is 
presumed they were married.  The Bible also contains the names and dates of 
birth of their children and in some cases their death and marriage dates.  It 
is said that the Bible has been through the Great Ohio Flood which is why it 
is in such bad shape.  Descendents of theirs, that had the Bible, lived in 
Lawrenceburg at the time of the flood.  Some of the writing has been washed 
away in different places, the front cover has broken off from the binding and 
the binding is crumbling, but much of the oldest information seems to have 
been preserved.

*Conrad Huffman Son of Benjamin Huffman was born in the year of Our Lord 1770 
February 22, Departed this life May 31st 1862

*Elizabeth Carbaugh was born 1798 June 12, Departed this life Friday July 18, 
1884, Died at Four O'Clock  (Her Headstone and Cemetery Records Read July 17)

*Andrew Jackson Huffman was born in the year of Our Lord Dec 6 1816 and 
departed this life Jan 19 1866

*Elijah Huffman was born July 26 1818

*Nancy Huffman was born August 26 1820 and departed this life Feb 9th 1898

*Emaline Huffman was born October 9 1822 and departed this life on the 31st of 
March 1841

*Caswell Huffman was born March 30 1824

*Nelson Huffman was born January 24 1827 and departed this life on the 11 day 
of February 1827, 18 Days

*Solomon Huffman was born March 4 1829

*James Huffman was born the 26th of March 1834
