Muncie Star, 20 Mar 1909
LAWRENCE - The last rites over the body of James D. Lawrence, the well known 
man who died at his home in Patterson(?) building. Thursday morning, were 
conducted from the Jackson Street Christian Church yesterday afternoon.  The 
Rev. W. H. Allen preached the funeral discourse.  The funeral was in charge of 
the I.O.O.F. and Masonic lodges, of which Mr. Lawrence was a member.  
Interment was made in Beech Grove Cemetery.
