Delaware Co. Marriage Book 3, p. 419
George W. Stanley to Mary L.Lake

Be it Remembered that on the 24 day of June 1858, the following marriage 
license was issued, to wit:
INDIANA, To-WIT, Delaware COUNTY,  TO ALL WHO SHALL SEE THESE PRESENTS, 
Greetings:
Know ye that any person legally authorized to solomnize matrimony is hereby 
licensed to join in marriage as husband and wife George W. Stanley and Mary L. 
Lake and for so doing this shall be his sufficient authority, In testimony 
whereof, I Thomas J. Matthews, Clerk of the Delaware Circuit Court, hereunto 
subscribe my name, and affix the seal of said Court, this 24 day of June 1858. 
Signed: Thomas J. Matthews

Be it further Remembered, That on this 24th day of June 1858, the following 
certificate was filed in my office, to wit:
INDIANA, TO-WIT: Delaware COUNTY,  This certifies that I joined in marriage as 
husband and wife George W. Stanley and Mary L. Lake ont he 24 day of June 
1858.  Signed: Job Swain, Justice of the peace
