GOSHEN.
The county seat of Elkhart county, oh the Michigan Southern & Northern Indiana
railroad, one hundred and twenty-three miles from Toledo and one hundred and
eleven miles from Chicago. It is beautifully situated in a handsome and wealthy
part of the State. It is laid out with much taste, and the streets are well
shaded with beautiful native trees, giving it a very tasteful and' attractive
appearance. It contains several fine business and private houses, good schools,
churches, etc.
