She was born in this county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Burkett, and for more than 48 years had been a resident of Goshen. Her husband died eight years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Amanda Cripe of Goshen; and Mrs. George Weaver of Bristol; five sons, Simon, Samuel, and Jesse Cripe of Chicago; Elijah and Henry Cripe of Goshen; 36 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren, a brother, John Burkett of Wawasee; a half-brother, Frank Cripe of Syracuse; and a half-sister, Mrs. Lucinda Kindle of Goshen. Mrs. Cripe was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home. The Rev. Melvin Stutzman will officiate, and burial will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery.
